What is the difference between Allure and Xhale rooms? Xhale provides more VIP services (please read description in Welcome page) and is closer to the ocean, therefore, closer to the “stars”.
What is the age limitation on this event? This is an 18 and over event. The legal drinking age in Punta Cana is 18.
How much of a down payment is required? Varies on the room type and number of guests.
If I choose the payment plan how does that work? Payment Plan options are currently on a 4 month installment. They require a down payment, and you will be billed on the 18th. Current installments May – August
Can I room alone? We currently have rooms available for singles.
What if there is 3 of us for a room? In the Book Now section of the ALLURE and XHALE Rooms and during booking you are able to select the option to add a 3rd person for your room. Use the 2 person(roommate) in booking/pricing page. Make sure you put your roommate’s name in “Order notes” at checkout.
Is there a dress code? Not really, however, we are shooting for a truly 80’s authentic experience and encourage our guests to wear what they wore or would wear in the 80’s at a Caribbean resort.
Is smoking allowed? There is a No Smoking Policy in the rooms, smoking is only permitted outside.
Do I need a passport? A valid passport is required for entry into the Dominican Republic. Your passport must match your I.D
What type of medical is available? The hotel has a doctor onsite available 24 hours a day next to the parking lot. Please use this link to find out more info. Hospiten
How many concerts will there be? Each national act will perform once, while tribute bands will perform a few times throughout the week.
Do I have to wear a costume for the 80’s parties? No, but we encourage you to wear one to at least one of the costume nights, as there will be great prizes and will also help in the “Total 80’s Experience” for you.
Will there be an opportunity to meet any of the “Stars” at the resort? Everyone will be able to meet the actors as we have planned events for that. Also, All Talent and Artists are contracted to be at the Resort for a minimum of 3 days but some are opting to stay the whole week. There will be many events for Q and A sessions, VIP meet and greets and they will just be hanging around the resort so there should be of plenty of opportunity.
Can we stay at the resort longer than the dates listed? You will have the opportunity to book through us at a discounted room rate up to 3 days before and 2 days after the event to accommodate a longer trip or better air options. You could book through the resort but it will be more expensive and you will have to change rooms.
How do I get in on the VIP Meet and Greets for the bands? Meet & greets will be given by random draw…the earlier you book, the better your chances.
How will we know the schedule of events? We will post the 2019 schedule late Summer.
Can I stay at another resort and still come to the concerts(buy tickets)? Sorry, This is only available to guests of the resort. The guests will have a form of identification determining whether they can get into the shows or not. It would end up costing you more anyway since we have secured some of the best room pricing on the island for resorts of this caliber. Plus, you would miss out on the “Experience” which is “80s in the Sand”
Is pricing subject to change? Once you have booked your price will not change, however, the cost for the event is subject to change at any time due to market demand. Room preference availability is based on a deposit down “first come- first serve” basis with no missed payments.
Are there any refunds? There are no refunds for any down payments or paid in full reservations. We strongly recommend Travel Insurance or you will also have the ability to sell your room. (Please see next question for more)
If you wish to change or modify your reservation BEFORE 60 days of event, there will be a $50 resort admin fee.
If you wish to change or modify your reservation WITHIN 60 days of event, there will be a $125 resort admin fee.
$35 fee for declined payments not processed within 48 hours.
$35 fee for non-payment after 48 hours.
Reservations that have not submitted their confirmed Roommate name(s) by September will be subject to a $45 resort admin fee.
If I can’t go, can I transfer the booking to someone else? You basically own the room and may sell the room if you can’t go. You would need to call us to transfer the information or we can sell for you with our wait list. ($100 administration fee for all transfers).
