What is the difference between Junior Suites and Preferred Club?
All rooms are Junior Suites. Amenities are the same for each Preferred club is a VIP experience and allows priority entrance into concerts.
What if the room I want says “Sold Out”?
If the room you want says SOLD OUT, reserve the room of your second choice, in the notes at checkout, type the room type you wish to have first. We will add you to the rooms waitlist.
If you do not secure your reservation with a minimum of a down payment and wish to be on a room waitlist please contact us at 855-452-7900.
Guests with current reservations will be at the top of the waitlist.
What is the age limitation on this event?
How much of a down payment is required?
$1000 for two guests, $700 for a single guest.
If I choose the payment plan how does that work?
Payment Plan options are currently on a four (4) month installment.
Payment Plans require a down payment – billing starts on the 18th, you will be emailed additional information after making your down payment.
Can I room alone?
We currently offer a few room classes available for singles. Please see booking page.
Is there a dress code?
No. However, we are shooting for a 80’s/Gen X authentic experience, and encourage our guests to wear what they wore or would wear in those Decades at a Caribbean resort.
Is smoking allowed?
There is a No Smoking Policy in the rooms, smoking is only permitted outside.
Do I need a passport?
A valid passport is required for entry into Mexico. Your passport must match your I.D
Make yourself familiar with international travel laws.
What type of medical is available?
The resort has a medical professional onsite and available.
Do I have to wear a costume for the parties?
No, but we encourage (it is fun) you to participate in costume contests and theme nights. See “dress code”.
Opportunity to meet any talent at the resort?
Actors will be available for meet & greets at least twice a week to all guests, this will be posted on the event schedule.
What makes our event so great is that it is intimate enough to catch a good opportunity to meet the musical talent on our lineup. we ask our entertainment to hang out for at least a 3 day minimum….sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t…. so keep your phones close by 😉
Can we stay at the resort longer than the dates listed?
You will have the opportunity to book through us at a resort room rate up to 3 days before and 2 days after the event to accommodate a longer trip or better air options.
You can book on our 2021 pricing page, but waiting too long to book additional nights can result in a room change.
How will we know the schedule of events?
We will post the full 2021 schedule late Summer. Tentative schedule available soon.
Can I stay at another resort or local residence and still come to the concerts (buy day passes) or attend the event?
Sorry, this is an immersive experience so NO day passes or limited stays are offered.
Is pricing subject to change?
Once you have secured your reservation, the price will not change.
However, the cost for the event / new reservation is subject to change at any time due to market demand. We do not allow room downgrades.
Are there any refunds?
There are no refunds for any down payments, payments or paid in full reservations. We strongly recommend Travel Insurance. (Please see next question for more)
If you wish to change or modify your reservation BEFORE 60 days of event, there will be a $50 resort admin fee.
If you wish to change or modify your reservation WITHIN 60 days of event, there will be a $125 resort admin fee.
$35 fee for declined payments not processed within 48 hours.
$35 fee for non-payment after 48 hours.
Reservations that have not submitted their confirmed Roommate name(s) by September will be subject to a $45 resort admin fee.
If I can’t go, can I transfer the booking to someone else?
You basically own the room and may sell the room if you can’t go. You would need to call us to transfer the information or we can sell for you with our wait list. ($100 administration fee for all transfers).
Official COVID policy:
1. If The Sands or the resort reschedules, your reservation will carry over to the new reschedule date without any additional cost. If you can’t make the reschedule date then we will provide a refund provided you completed our refund form and followed our policy.
2. If you cancel because of COVID related issues there are no refunds, however, you can carry your reservation over to the next year OR sell your room (we can help you sell) to get your refund.
